Omnisphere - what controller has worked best for you?

Got this recently - and getting maybe a little too deep back into the box - and was wishing I had a good controller (desktop maybe?) to match it with.

Not super keen on buying a synth just for the software integration Omni offers… but have been considering possibly getting something on the slightly cheaper end with lots of knobs, like a Virus A.

If you have Omni, have you found a controller set up (maybe multiple controllers?) that works well for you?

Lemme know boys and girls!

Prophet X if you can stretch your budget. I’d been considering the PX for a while for other reasons, but it offers such a particularly natural correspondence between its organization and Omnisphere’s that it ticked yet one more box for me. Some people report Omnisphere gets a lot more inspiring (as opposed to being the go-to plugin for my sequencing activities) when playing with it via a PX. Up to now. I’m looking forward to that, but I’ve only had time to use it a little bit with Omnisphere because I’m doing other stuff with the PX. I expect to have more time to mess with the combo next month.

Prophet X looks like fun and the integration with Omni (based on a Sonic State vid I checked out recently), looks great. I just need to find one for less than $500 that has also magically been converted into a smaller desktop module… haha.

I’ll keep dreaming

…if u got an ipad…the dedicated omnicontrol app by spectrasonics does a great job…
it’s simply perfectly taylored for turning all omnispheres sound options inside out in realtime…standalone or whatever hosting daw u got in use…

My wife has just produced a album made entirely with Omnisphere and Ableton Push. When i watch her use it i couldnt think of anything better.

Hmmm… I’ve thought about getting an iPad in the past, to check out some of the cool looking iOS music apps available. This might be a perfect way to further rationalize an unnecessary purchase! Haha.

Thanks for the suggestion.

It also works really well with a Roland System 8. that thing has many sliders and knobs…

What! I had no idea Omnisphere had this app, thanks for pointing it out.
