This is a great idea! I wonder though, if it would be possible considering how much more data a sequence would have to contain… p-locking lfo destination could be really crazy, or even, fader-assigning lfo-settings
I use it on my MnM, all the time p-locking the lfo shapes, trig modes etc is very very powerful
its all those filter option not p-lockable too which frustrates me
Yeah, I hear you, it would be great to have more parameters p-lockable. From what I understand about the OT’s design, though, I think it’s pretty unlikely. Most of the page 2 parameters are on/off or multiple choice rather than continuous. So perhaps Elektron just wanted to avoid egregious clicky/glitchy sounds.
But now that I type that, I think I’m on your side…I want to at least have the opportunity to program those glitches in, even if I’d rarely use them!
And other parameters like the filter’s distortion have more broadly useful applications.
how about a pc/mac editor?
- midi over USB
- rates below 0 (reverse) are not possible on sliced samples
- Save all button (all parts/patterns on all banks in the project)
Track volumes and scene assignments stored in pattern
The main wubbens ('would-be-nice’s) for me are:
RLEN’s max of 64 should be at least 128, preferably 256.
Pickup machines should work without compromise in Ext Sync mode
Bank/Project management improvements - would be so nice if, after spending ages setting up the machines/patterns how I want, that I could quickly and painlessly copy my bank over to as many others as I like without needing a computer.
Tempo storage per bank would be really lovely
Master track assignment per part rather than per project
Seamless pattern copy
A paste buffer per item type (would help with some of the part/pattern copy stuff).
A bit more consistency for button operations. For example, there are some value changes you have to confirm with “no/exit” which always makes me scratch my head.
Naming stuff and some kind of overview - at the moment I spend a while pushing individual track buttons as I go through my banks, trying to remember what each track does, what each pattern is for. Same with scenes - unless you stick to doing the same thing, you have no idea what a scene will do until you move the slider.
I’d also like the pattern save to work like the A4 in which you can save an individual pattern if you like where it’s at. I know you can save a pattern to a new location but how the hell will you remember days or weeks later in a large project?
Um, that’ll do.
i would start a voting for the list features. any idea how to do it? or if somebody else like to do it, would be a great help!
be more specific please? what would you use it for?

try this one maybe?
http://pollcode.com
i am sure they do, but up to now they are probably still trying to make sense of the thread as a whole. i think your poll would help weed out a lot of what i call “lazy user” requests in this thread…

go to the files section of the forum, look for it there. it’s all documented! : )
i have the impression a lot of feature requests here are just out of lack of information?
take this for example:
“12. Ability to trigger slices with Midi” → Read the manual, please!

Ok! thanks!. I’ll take it out from the list . please give me more feedback for features that are out of lack of information!
The most important Feature! DELETED!
it’s not a good vote system. perhaps someone else like to do it? c’on comunity!

Ok! thanks for info. I’ll take it out
or you can change it to: Ability to trigger slots with Midi
Please add repitch algorithm, as mentioned by rhizome, to the poll. Subjectively, it is by far the most interesting and easily implementable feature.

Remove points 19 and 25. Technically not possible with the current hardware. I will find more, trust me. i suggest holding off with polling, until you get the list sorted properly…

van, this one seems to allow multiple choices, but i don’t know if that’s a good idea. generally, try to reduce down to abut 10 options before making a poll… 30 is crazy… let’s go through the current list first, and then post a poll, ok? i am going through the current list now and will let you know what should not be in there.
see what i mean?
please Skeve, don’t take this personally, but i think you should just get one somewhere for 50 bucks…?
Another one. What do you mean by granular machine? The OT already does a basic form of “granular synthesis” if you know how to: any loop and ADSR-capable sampler does.
Also, there are tons of free apps doing this and they all sound similar. what’s the point of another one? just use the ipad, luke.
feel free to contradict me of course, but such is my opinion.
