wondering if someone can help me. i have upgraded before but i have been trying to upgrade the OG tracker from 1.06 to 1.09.1. however, after inserting the sd with the new firmware and going to config under firmware menu only 1.06 is listed. It is not recognizing the new (1.09.1)file despite having trashed the old forware out of the SD.
Hey, what ptf files do you have in the firmware folder on the sd card?
Have you gone to config > firmware and completed the instructions in the link below?
Edit, Sounds like you have done that already from your post, apologies!
If you look at it on a pc does the file have the correct .ptf file extension? On Windows might need to enable file extensions for the folder in order to see them properly
Thank you for responding
yes, i have follow the usual …draged the new firm into the folder and the extension is .ptf ( using Mac)…i dont know what i am over-looking
Not speaking from experience with polyend but just as general advice, if possible I would try with a different freshly formatted memory card if one is available. If not, I might try and get access to a firmware in-between 1.06 and 1.09. like 1.08 for example, to see if it’s recognized in the memory card folder.
Might help you determine if the issue is with your machine, the file itself or the card, helping you localize the issue.
If you can help get some more details about what kind of problem it is maybe we can all put our heads together and figure it out.
I’ll google a little bit when I have the chance.
It could possibly be that the firmware file has been hidden - you can check in macos finder using command+shift+. (that’s a dot on the end) to see if you have it set to always show hidden files… those usually show up slightly differently to a not hidden file but easy to miss
cheers i will check if one is available. appreciate.
cheers will do so.
Thank you for your suggestions…i had the folder protocol wrong while moving folder around. I set it back to it one level structure and I was able to update. Thank you for the lesson in trouble shooting and as always your kindly help is very much appreciated. Salute.

Of course man, any time, very glad it was simple to work out on your end! no problem at all and hope it’s a good update!
I think unfortunately my suggestions were not relevant but still good practice to use the idea of determining where the problem exists so you aren’t looking left and right, you can instead look straight at the problem.
no, it was helpful for me. it is good to consider more than one option and build trouble shooting arsenal ( had to slide in Arsenal…for champion League sake
