Reverb payment pending

What are peoples experiences with Reverb payments? I sold an item 3 weeks ago, still waiting for payment. They tell me almost every day that they are looking into it, the item was delivered to the buyer a good two weeks ago. All tracking information was given as soon as it was sent. Getting a bit worried now to be honest, as I don’t seem to be able to contact someone properly, just through an instant messaging app. All very frustrating.

When I bought my Neve Master Buss Processor the seller asked if I can unit test my device to make sure we are good then write a review. Moments after posting the review that I received the item and a positive review he got the money

This happened to me a few months ago. I think it was something to do with the Delivery Company not being recognized by their automated system. I had to send proof of delivery. It took 30 minutes to sort out. You need to contact them to sort this out.

I’ve sold over 200 items on reverb. Had to wait for payment once. Took 2 days but it went through and I shipped the item. Never would send anything unless it said payment was approved. Definitely contact them.

Great, I’ve just asked the buyer for a review, as he hadn’t done it yet. Let’s hope that works. I’ve been in contact with Reverb loads confirming tracking information and that it’s been delivered, and they just say the same thing that they’re “looking into it”. Not sure I fancy using them again. Thanks

Never had a problem with Reverb myself aside from being told, categorically, that I can’t change my Euro account into Pounds after moving country, but I digress. Start going full Karen on them and repeatedly tell them how long it’s been and how it isn’t exactly encouraging you to remain on the platform. You know, asking for a supervisor and all that. And mention how many times you’ve been told “we’re looking into it” and then heard absolutely nothing of any worth. Sometimes being a bit of a (still polite) dick about things helps get shit done. Thanks Craig, yeah I’ve been doing that, they’re quite stubborn and stick to the script! Three weeks now, madness!

I would heart your reply but that’s just sad. So annoying when you can’t get a straight answer out of internet companies. Like if they told you, it’ll be a month or three months, at least you know and can accept that :face_with_symbols_over_mouth:

I’ve sold about 40 items on Reverb and as soon as the shipping status is ‘In Transit’ they release the funds. I always use Canada Post. No couriers.

Open a ticket with support. If you use the chat just type ‘Speak with agent’. It will ask for a few more things before connecting you but you should get a warm body that should open a proper ticket/investigation.

Oh man, the bots. What a pile of shite. I can quite easily navigate an FAQ section by myself, thank you very much. I just type real human a few times to whatever they say. Grr.

I had a frustrating and confusing experience with Reverb that was unrelated to the ‘reverb payments’ feature, but still showed poor customer service policies. long story short, i had to make a return when someone mailed me a broken pedal and refused to issue a refund. Even with the customer service ticket, i had to check in constantly and had to get my mailing slip from the irate seller who kept telling me to just mail the pedal to EQDs for repairs :neutral_face:

it definitely broke my trust in using reverb casually. i hope it gets sorted soon.

i have bad exp both sides of return item.

as long as sale is good, no problems, but if need to return, nightmare for everyone, Reverb SUCKS for customer service. Takes someone a week to return your SIMPLE question.

Their customer service was a lot better before they were bought by Etsy.

I agree. Before you could get someone on the phone. Now if your phone sleep during a chat, you have to start over
