Excellent synths to leave behind.
Sad news. But what a legacy… He will continue to inspire both musicians and engineers.
A very talented designer, his stuff was rather unique and original R.I.P
RIP Chris. Very sad news.
Designed some iconic synthesisers and I’ll always lust after an OSCar, RIP
Very sad news indeed.
I had the pleasure of meeting him a few times when I worked at Focusrite/Novation and even though I was not directly involved with the projects (I worked in support) he would always say hello.
He will be very much missed.
sad news, RIP
Being in the middle of the US, I’ve never had the opportunity to touch the OSCar or a Wasp, but it didn’t stop me wanting either. Still do. Heck, I’ve always wanted an S1000 too, and I consider Novation synths to be among the best-sounding virtual analogs ever made. Huggett did things his own way and his products always had an air of originality to to them. The guy may not have been known to the general public, but for me he was a legend.
My S1000HD cries for him. RIP
The Summit has quickly become my favorite synth. What a legend.
Chris did work on the predecessor controllers to the Launchkeys called ReMOTE.
ReMOTE ZeRO SL
ReMOTE 49 SL

Chris’s final synth development work was on the PWM Mantis. ( thread )
I cycle past his house in Oxford occasionally. I used to keep my eyes open. Very sad. Always wanted an OSCar as I’ve lived here my whole life and it’s nice to have a synth named after your home town. Probably not £5,000 nice tho!
