Awesome. Doesn’t seem too complicated either. Mine has an early firmware, omni-on on power-up, and no midi channel selection.
Recommend you get it. Midi CC over all parameters, midi clock sync with the arp. Waveform select works in toggle ect. Even has all the original patches as extra (not that they are too great, but still fun to have).
Wow that looks really good! Will try it out later today… I also got the upgrade from Tauntek a few weeks ago and did the soldering and installation myself… now I need to replace the faders at some time but not sure if I will do that myself. Do you know where your JP was repaired?
Would you be willing to share the editor?
Now I see why they compare (physically) the UDO Super 6 to the Jupiter 6.

My first device, so be gentle with me. Let me know how it works for you. Haven’t checked Europa mod MIDI specs, so not sure if it works with that. Just something I made for my uses basicly
And right away I noticed that Env selection for filter was missing. 2.1 version uploaded
Just out of curiosity… Have you hand the chance to try out the editor?
Yes I did, was going to write you today about it It works perfectly, did not find any issues with it. Thank you so much!! Have not tried the patch select yet.
I was wondering if it would be possible to store these settings, but I guess then the M4L device would have to “fire” all parameters when loaded Or I have to somehow use the Macro feature?
Also the parameters do not show up in Push but I read that this is not “Standard” behavior and has to be implemented with some bank feature in M4L. I might have a look at that if you don’t mind but I have no experience with that.
It is really cool to be able to control this wonderful instrument with your editor but it also feels strange in a way controlling this huge synth with a mouse
Do you think Roland will release a boutique of the Jupiter 6 now that they have the plugin released? Haven’t been following whether new plugin is followed by a boutique down the road in the past.
It often happen that way indeed ! That be great actualy, I’d love to try this as my first Boutique hahaha
… and nowadays they could easily make it 6 voice or even more/multitimbral. Not sure how good the synth is to emulate though, as its character seems to come from quirky, out of tune oscillators I gather?
The JP-6 stays better in tune than my new Prophet-5. It’s almost too precise for a VCO synth. So much so that it has a reputation of sounding cold. Not sure how they pulled it off with those CEM oscs both Prophet and Xa uses, and those are all over the place, and makes them sound “big & warm”
Aaaah, I was thinking of the Jupiter 4 which is supposed to be pretty detuned/unstable and recently got its first Roland plugin. Thanks for clarifying. Is there a good plugin for Jupiter 6?
And it does have a TUNE button Which you need quite a lot during warm up…
Nothing compared to the new Prophet 10. That one needs tuning every 20 min, and it takes two minutes to tune, where JP-6 is done in one second.
I find this very surprising. I’d got the impression from reviews and such that it had modern stability until you twist the Vintage knob. Woah. Well, my GASy dreams drift back to a P6 then
Well it’s not as bad as I might make it sound. And the synth is freaking awesome. Just to compare that the 40 year old Jupiter is super stable, and tuning is also lightning fast.
I immediately checked this Jupiter-6 plugin you said, but can’t find anything about it? Did you mean something else or am I blind?
