I return, once again in confusion with my OT. I’ve started to try and get my head around recording/sampling in to the OT.
Having watched several YouTube tutorials, I believe I have the right settings, however when hitting AED to see what I have sampled, it appears that the OT is still recording. This is judging by the real-time changing of the displayed waveform in the AED. I can’t find a way of stopping it!
The sample appears in the editor, I can edit but there is no volume.
Please advise! Thanks in advance G
If the track has a [+] next to it, it’s still recording.
I have dynamic recorders on, reserve recording set to none and with those settings if you set RLEN to max and hit record, that [+] stays there until you hit the button again.
One of the biggest “ah ha ” moments I’ve had was realizing that if you hit [FUNC] and [REC 1,2 or3] to access the recorder settings … when in those menus if you hit record there’s a second sequencer lane where you can put trigs to start the recorders. I was accidentally starting and stopping recording by adding trigs there instead of the regular sequencer lane.
Oh… Even more complex than I’d anticipated. I did have the Rec Set up 1 TRIG set to ONE2 in order to stop the recording. It’s weird, I opened the sample in the AED, and managed to edit, yet soon as I hit play, it recorded over the sample - just by hitting the play button. I’ve done a factory reset. I wasn’t aware that trigs could be involved. I’ve had the box a little while but have been concentrating on MIDI and playback only. Thanks G
Not weird if you have a rec trig (in REC SETUP tracks) that does its job.
No need to make Factory Reset as soon as you struggle with OT.
Just ask here.
Thank you so much. I think that was the issue. G
