Seeking Quasimidi Rave-O-Lution 309 schematics

I decided to troubleshoot my faulty Rave-O-Lution 309, but it looks impossible without schematics.
I put it aside 2 decades ago (!!!).

Everything is working, except there’s no audio signal on none of the outputs or headphones.

I remember discussing the issue on a forum, but I can’t find it on internet anymore.
I’m not even sure if the issue appeared after the unit was opened and manipulated badly (I kind of remember something like this).
I don’t see any “burned” component on the boards…
I remember though a user from Germany was saying it was a component he could replace.
Today I’m able to replace an SMD by myself, but I have no clue which component it was about.

The unit does not have any expansion or audio expansion installed.
It has the v1.02 chip installed.
The volume pot is scratchy, but it’s not the issue. No audio signal arrives to it anyway.
It’s also not a wrong output assignment in the settings.

If I had the schematics I could eventually find the issue.

Almost certainly a dual opamp, work back from the outputs and it should not be too difficult to find assuming it is a dual layer board.

Failing that why not shoot Jorg an email, I’m pretty sure he would be able to give some pointers or maybe even the schematic.

…the rave o lution 309…from quasimidi…???
oh my goodness…i had one too…we’re talking early 90ies here…and i have no idea where it got lost along the way…hmmmm…what a flashback for me right now…good luck…hope u can make it sing again…i mean this box had the shape and basic looks and essential work flow manners of an elektron machinedrum/monomachine…which came up quite a few years later…
as far as i can recall, it sounded a bit crappy…but if i imagine it today, run through an analog heat…this would be mindblowing…so, don’t give up…work it out…fingers crossed…

Thx reeloy!!!
Yeah… A few years have passed by indeed!

Would be fun to listen to it again.
I hope to find the schematics or a service manual.
If not, I’ll have to check datasheets from all ICs on the board(s) and see where the signal stops flowing.

Oops. Nearly missed your post.

Thanx a lot. I found it difficult on these boards to follow back the circuit, this is why I asked about schematics.
I’ll give it another try after checking which IC/opAmp is doing what in datasheets.
And the idea about contacting Jorg is great. I didn’t even realise he was behind radikal tech.!!!
Again, thx a lot.

Checking NE5532 and no signal at ins/outs. Then I see that it does not get -VCC on pin 4.
I didn’t check power as everything seems to work fine according to the display.
Seems there’s no negative voltage anywhere in the circuit.
I’ll contact Jorg.

Might be worth checking the regulators in the meantime?

Yes, they all work fine if all are supposed to output positive voltages.
I can’t see any components on the board which can produce negative voltages, maybe it’s not even needed (I’m too much in other circuits where nothing works without).
I sent an email to Jörg.

I lost all audio on my 309, this little sucker fixed it.

Thx. As mentionned I have no audio expansion board installed. Just the standard config.

Okay it seems that the circuit doesn’t even need negative power. It’s simply 0V at any -VCC place, as I do not see any component on the circuit which is supposed to transform the positive 10.5V into -10.5V or any other negative value.
All regulators output the right positive value. The L7805 with the huge heat sink is extremely hot, but I guess this is why it is mounted to it.
I’m lost without service manual or schematics :frowning:
