Hi,

Not only DT but also ST got that “LED update”.

Edit: … and DN as well.

Humm… I was hoping for a white backlight of the screens, which I thought (and think) isn’t possible  as it’s the hardware (of those limited editions).

Hi,

Does someone know what the 1.21A release notes

“Support for updated production process.”

actually mean?

Possibly of sole interest to Elektron only, but hazarding a guess maybe a part was changed and they needed a way to know (moving forwards) which board type was being updated

i can’t see why they’d elect to say this - unless it was the only change !

So I’m not seeing any reason to upgrade to 1.21A - since my unit is having no issues and was already produced quite a while ago

This “support for updated production process” seems to have been made on the back end for more than just syntakt.

It must have been impactful enough to work into multiple machines and important enough (at least on the back end) to officially release an update solely inclusive of those support changes.

Still a bit shrouded in mystery though.

I got excited seeing this update and tested to see if they’d solved the below listed bugs… they haven’t been fixed unfortunately :frowning:

So yeah… “support for updated production process” does NOT mean fixing glaring midi implementation bugs. The mystery remains, though my hopes and dreams do not.

Same here actually, I’m still on 1.20 and skipped 1.21A in anticipation of a more exciting update.

Im confused. 1.21A came out in November 23.
It also released 2 days ago, June 26?

Did someone typo the version number?

In November 2023 they released 1.21, new release is 1.21A.

Weird. I think its the way the firmware update history is detailed on the updates page – it makes it look like 1.21A was from November 23.

Sorry guys this is my fault as far as the dates released. I got a new Syntakt about a week ago and noticed the firmware that came on it was newer (1.21A) than what was available on their site so I emailed and asked. They updated site next day.

I was also a little confused apparently, I meant that I skipped 1.21 in anticipation of a bigger firmware update. I will skip 1.21A too (why bother?).

Elektron, time to release something actually interesting for the Syntakt now!

I would guess they need this firmware on the assembly line to make better test at the unit before it goes out.
So this is absolutely invisible to customer but way easier for them to work on.
