i have somehow found an astounding array of fridge magnet replicas on ebay when searching for various hardware synths.

not exactly prints admittedly but they are designed to display on a vertical surface. i suppose a variety of angles come to think of it. due to the magnet.

I always wondered about those, there seems to be one for every synth ever made. Smart move from whoever thought that one up. I’m assuming people looking for a present for their musical friend look up moog or something they’ve heard them mention only to see its 3k. They then buy a consolation magnet

Hey! I’m in Louisville too!

COOL!

Edit: Oh shoot! You’re shedding! I listened to one of your albums back in 2009(I checked it out from the library)- it was brilliant stuff!

Edit pt 2: the album was “What God Doesn’t Bless, You Won’t Love; What You Don’t Love, The Child Won’t Know” I see its on bandcamp now- listening to it again- it’s still is brilliant to me. #fanboi

Thanks. Good to know someone enjoys anything I do ha. More often than not, I feel like I’m on an island.

I absolutely know what you mean!

Working with Affinity Designer on an isometric perspective synth art series for a personal project. It’s still in it’s early stages, but getting there slowly…

I’ll let you know when I have something more to show.

Got this blown up to poster size at Photobox and framed it myself. Hand drawn by the man himself.

It’s a scematic of the 904B High pass filter by the way.

I’m planning on drawing all mk1 Elektron gear in this perspective and doing posters etc. from them. Maybe the digis too and eventually the mk2s too. It’ll take some time as it’s a hobby thing for me, but I have a self set deadline of getting them all done by the end of the year.

Earlier I did this series of “Design classics” for my generation. I don’t much care for Alessi juicepresses or Pininfarina cars, the classics of my own life have been Walkmans, synths and joysticks. That’s what got me started drawing these. They’re not modelled in 3D but drawn by hand in Affinity Designer.

wow awesome! these were my first hardware as a kid when others had more modern pc’s and the latest atari and amiga  i remember some scratching their heads when we hung out at my place when they saw the tapes and thought of me as second class poor that didn’t have pc or floppy  as an adult i thanked my mother because when i asked why i had to settle with “dated stuff” as a kid she said that i should start from the beginning and learn it to be able to appreciate the modern hardware. that gave perspective

okey. im thinking that linear/top perspective would look good when framed and placed side by side but maybe im just having a hard time picturing this angle irl will look good as well
