Yeah that’s Paul rand

When an eye is in a logo, Paul Rand is not far.
One of his more pretty logo.

I used to design alot of logos in my previous life.

I love a good logo, but even more than that I love a good band logo. My two absolute favourite band logos ever have always been these:

and:

Probably for that reason I designed our own band logo to resemble a bit of both of them:

Good angular heavy metal logo design is reason enough to start a band. I always thought that the best part of being in a band is to get to make up the silly song titles and to design over the top logos.

That Night Satan logo is ace

Always thought the Def Leppard logo was at least 50% of the band’s appeal

I think the Apple logo is smart because a bitten fruit is suggestive of Adam & Eve/forbidden knowledge. It’s an interesting association to make with personal computer products.

The infinite logo is quite something.

Me too, but honestly I really only liked one song- “Photograph”. It was all downhill from there…

I progressed from that start point pretty quick - Guns n Roses led to Sabbath and on to Metallica, Slayer etc. Then some serious death metal for about 10 years!

I’ve designed quite a few logos over the years and a couple of band logos. This is one of mine:

I went towards the punk end of the guitar spectrum. An alltime classic from that era:

Have that on a t-shirt as well.

Speaking of logos and shirts, gotta have our own @blushresponse Blush Response’s logo on here:

…ha…good one…timeless as timeless can be…

and @donavan…even given the fact that “einstürzende neubauten” got a pretty timeless cave drawing kind of logo going on, i would’nt call it iconic…even not really for those who actually know what it stands for…
i know half the bunch of them since ages…and what can i say…even they themselves don’t really know to tell any deeper sense to it but the simple fact that it nicely represents their anachronistic nature…
