Apparently he will be working on it for a year or so before any kind of actual release, but looks pretty cool: a Tracker style UI in the form of a Pocket Operator.

I immediately thought of the M8 tracker, but the creator responds to that comparison like this:
M8 is a stunnig device for complex projects, I plan to keep my Vekt operator more like pocket op where you can quickly create sketches/ideas and polish them later on DAW. And the main idea for me personally was to quickly create rhythmic sequences which I can use with my visualization app instead making them in DAW, this will speed up the process.
I saw the links, but I’d notactually seen it before.
They both look like pretty fun upgrades to the PO’s, just in that grey area of being reasonably expensive, yet very minimal and small.
Will be interesting to see how expensive this one ends up being though. As well as whether the designer can turn it into a buyable product or kit or somethng.
I got M8 vibes also… the use case he describes for the Vekt is kind of how I use my M8 but I’ll definitely be keeping an eye an on this one nevertheless, I really like how it looks…
someone should make something similar but for playing stereo samples - sort of a portable companion for Digitakt
