Hello everyone,
I’m an electronic music enthusiast for over 20 years, and like many, I’ve found that iconic hardware synths, electric organs, and electric keyboards — like the DX-1, ARP 2500, Fender Rhodes, Wurlitzer 200A, Eminent Grand Théâtre 2500, and the Hammond B3 — are way too expensive, rare, and hard to maintain. I’ve also created a dedicated section for sound chips used in chiptune music. On top of that, I realized no one had brought together all the virtual versions of these pieces of gear in one place. So, I decided to do it myself.
I’ve built a website to help those who, like me, want to access virtual versions of their favorite hardware. You can easily search for hardware models with a filter system and access their virtual equivalents, all in one place.
It took me two years to create such a platform and I called it “Virtual Synthesizers”, a free database that makes it easy to find virtual instruments like VSTs that emulate the hardware you love.
Here’s what’s currently available:
— 1000+ hardware : synths, electric keyboards, drum machines, electric organs, and more.
— Over 5000 VSTs (both free and paid).
— Detailed info including specs, demos, videos, and historical context for each hardware model.
The goal is to make it super easy for anyone to quickly find virtual versions of the hardware they’re interested in, without having to dig through endless forums or websites.
Feel free to check it out and let me know what you think! Any suggestions or feedback are welcome. I’m still working on improving it, and I’d love to hear your thoughts.
