Werp Trix?

Has anyone found any good uses for Werp? I haven’t run into a situation yet where it’s been the machine to use (as opposed to Grids or One Shot).

Messing around with for 30mins. That’s it.

I prefer it over stretch tbh. Stretch is pretty bad and gives me more unpleasant artifacts than werp does, where they are a bit more predictable and in sync.

I like an LFO on the rate / plock the rate. And live recording parameter changes!

I used it once or twice, but your post got me thinking about doing something with lock trigs. Thanks for this post. I think its time to experiment and explore this feature a bit more.

They must have thought that it was pretty freakin awesome to make sure it would be one of the first machines added to digitakt. Not to live in the past, but this is the kind of situation when I would really be grateful for a Cenk demo of the werp machine.

It’s actually a really cool machine for instant fun.
Throw a melodic loop in there and parameter lock pitch on random steps to fifths and octaves, maybe also lock loop directions and whatever else there is and there you go!

edit: I realized I have to try this with some portamento added

Thanks guys! I’ll give these a shot.

BTW SonWu, really enjoyed your Octatrack vids.

No use for it at all.

Why not just add some normal slicing. Elektron really missed the boat.
