Hi,
I have a question:
I’ve always heard in the videos that you can pack the samples optional on the analog sounds of it.
Can you use the samples without an analog sound?
So for example, I just want to have a sample Clap (digital) without the Analog Clap. Is that possible?
Also, I would like to know what exactly does “8 Voice Analog Drum Machine” mean? If the analog Rytm limited to 8 Machines?
So 8 sounds and that was it? Or does it mean: 8 Analog sounds, plus Digital samples?
Thanks for answer…
8 physical circuits capable of producing sound, one complex note per voice, so 8 maximum, they’re not machines and they’re not all the same either.
sure, you can use a sample with no analog sound. simply turn the Level down on the analog sound. Possibly the analog circuit on each voice has a parameter where you can turn it off entirely as well.
A “voice” in a synth is a means of playing a sound. A Minimoog is an example of a monophonic synth, meaning it only has One voice -Only one note at a time.
An 8 voice synth (polyphonic) means the RYTM can play 8 sounds all firing off at the same time. This includes the analog sound and the sample sound for each voice, so no worrying there. In the RYTM the combined analog circuit and sample sound counts as just one voice.
Typically synths offer you a choice as to how they behave if you start trying to play more than 8 voices/sounds at one time. This problem is called Voice stealing. Voices that are currently playing could be shut off early in order to play the newest voice (depending on how you choose to have this problem behave in a preferences menu.). Most of the time the voice that is the “oldest” voice gets shut off first in order to play any new voice/sound.
