Why buy an A4 MKII and not just a MKI? (your advice please : )

Here’s some of Simon’s thoughts… I believe any instrument can sound better to someone than another, so I think the MK1 sounds great and has its own sound to certainly be appreciated and possibly preferred over MK2, but I always appreciate Simon’s input…

No, the multi mode filter (2) has not been reworked. The ladder filter (1) has been revised which had a huge impact on the overall sound. (accurate/more bass and cleaner signal)

It is different than the previous change on Keys as well.

One thing to note; it’s not a bass boost as some might suggest/think. You won’t get the same result by just applying some EQ on the MKI for example.

The MKII is a lot bassier, and the highs are richer as well. There is more definition in the sound now. It works equally well in the back of a mix as in the front. Have a listen to the sound examples.

Personally, I am blown away by the tone of the MKII - I am a sucker for details.
