Your modulars (Part 1)

Cjewman… DAMN! love that stuff!
one day…ONE DAY…id love to get a filter of theirs.

I’ve only had the MMF-1s a few days, but it is a very nice filter so far. I’ve previously owned a Cwejman BLD and SM-1. I thought the SM-1 was really cool, but not really $2k cool and figured I’d be better off with individual modules. I especially miss the envelopes and LFO’s. Something extra special about both of those. I’m still struggling to learn the VCO2RM/MMF-1 combo as there’s no manual and they’re both pretty complex. So far, all I can say is they both sound terrific and we’ll see if they stick around

absolute drug dealers, they are! best place to get Cwejman though (in the states). I got a similar email from them last year the day after my 40th birthday, for the S1 (had one a decade ago and regretted selling it). needless to say, I caved

anyway, that’s a tremendous Cwejman haul! the MMF-1S and VCO-2RM are beautiful sounding!

also: your logic with the skiff and 7U was the same as mine recently. and then I too caved into just keeping the skiff as well… :man_facepalming:

had to dig out this pic… my Cwejman/modular setup from 2009. note that there’s an unused Cwejman in the beauty case on the lower shelf. pretty sure it’s a VCO-2RM.

You can’t go wrong with Cwejman. Worth every penny most of the time.
I’m quite happy with mines as well, had to sell my BLD unfortunately but kept QMMF and DFLO. Cwejman modules work best together

Wow! Would love to try an S-1 some day!

The DLFO is on the list for sure. I’m sort of reassessing what I want my rack to do. This is where it’s at currently

As much as I miss some of my drum modules, my EssenceFM and Model:Cycles do such a great job there and you gotta make room and prioritize, so I’m leaning toward having a rack to do sound design I can’t do any other way. The smallish case helps keep spending in check

Used to make my drums with in the case but wasn’t worth it in the end. I’m happy with my Analog Rytm for drums / samples. How do you like your 2hp Freez ? I have 2 hp left in my performance case and hesitating between these and Brst.

Freez is ok. I’ve mostly used it on hats to add randomness and grain/dirt. Like I said, kinda rethinking what I want to accomplish in the rack, so I imagine things are gonna get moved around and reprioritized. Example, I pulled out my Joranalogue Filter 8 and haven’t missed it, but I do kinda miss my Takaab dual lpg

OSCar… :exploding_head:

Hey there everyone ! I had a fun jam yesterday morning and was motivated to film it, there’s a heavy use of modular synth in it, hopefully it’s fun to watch :

Hey guys, what would you like to advice me between Ornament & Crime and Disting mk3?
Need utilities, envelopes overall…
OC is usually listed at around 200€ while Disting can be found at 100…
Any experience?

what is that stand/case combo?!? need more pics of that!

thanks! (and to @Six06 as well!)

sadly, I no longer have it. but I do still have the woman whose wedding ring it helped fund

it’s a great synth for sure. and quite interesting (and so is the Rozzbox that’s also in that pic!). my outlook back when I sold it was that the OP1 covers my digi needs just fine, and is a little easier to use. but yeah there’s a lot of crazy and ahead of its time stuff in that synth. plus it’s just so beautifully ugly!
