I get it, I call my wife “My Favorite Keyboard” so she always knows
interesting case, what brand is it and what are the knobby bits on the side for?
Thanks my I build this case few years ago.still strong and steady on my studio.the pedestal mostly was build on laser cutter and each 3u boat case was build in router table and aluminum billets were made on a machineshop
that’s just incredible! I love it!
This is what I am planning to build for my OT.
Stereo monosynth with a big dual VCO, a wavetable osc, and lots of modulation as well as quantized sequences I can clock to the OT, and some nice fx.
All a work in progress and that is just the preliminary plan, particularly the bottom row.
Be careful of feedback. It hurts the brain!
On a more serious note, I love the Synchrodyne setup you have there. Nice!
Oh yes. The synchrodyne was actually one of my 1st modules I bought after entering the modular realms. It only left my case for short periods.
Now with the expand its really more than ever the center piece of my system.
damn! my kind of jam
and ditto that cwejman stuff is really great. I want it all. I was lucky to get my modules for a package deal that made them cheaper than retail, as used gear should be lol.
I would love to hear any patch suggestions or module suggestions. I buy almost everything used so I lucked out getting a system that is looking somewhat cohesive.
and the drawing is from a fellow elektronaut… @nirun
I like that! I was gonna stick a 4hp mod in the side of my rack as well. A ZZZ midi din in/out
expansion mod for FH2.
Looks cool. You’ve inspired me to commit.
You got the jumpers the same or set up different right now.
Hate that jumper shite when you need you access behind the scenes…
Ears is great though, esp with Elements
Only the envelope followers are different: Left -> sLow _ right -> fast.
Thought about drilling a hole and wiring a toggle. Maybe.
Elements, yes that great … but nothing to throw out of my case. Growing is no option.
Shit. Elements is beautiful.
Started out recently with a Doepfer A100 basic system and ordered some different modules to fill the next 84HP. Here is my planned setup:
I also just received a new Keith McMillen K-mix mixer to blend and manage all my gear. Works amazing! Love the built in audio interface and touch controllers that light up like glow sticks. Now I can have a hub for controlling levels for my Elektron and modular synths. After spending a lot of time without success to get Octatrack to sample and work with the Doepfer A100 MD to CV module, I don’t have to spin countless cycles just use a track on the K-Mix for the modular and one for the OT and be happy.
The lighting is on point.
Here is an ambient patch that I put together this evening on the new Doepfer modular system.
It is actually quite relaxing to listen to. Will add the new modules to the empty space next week.
what was the issue?
also if that’s your first modular, I wouldn’t have added to it for a while. that’s a great starting system, and sticking within it will force you to explore the modular way of thinking.
True and I’ve been focusing lately on the modular part. I did add an external mixer which great to add the modular to the overall mix.
