No, when it’s in controller mode, you basically work with Live, and it’s impossible to do that at the moment.
Yes you can do that.

Yes you can do that.
No you can’t unfortunately. Once you use Move as Control Surface via USB-C, you cannot connect any other USB devices to the A port.
EDIT
I stand corrected. I thought you meant using the USB-A port too when using as Control Surface. Was thinking of using a mouse there!
One will activate hydrasynth mode in the future
But I am curious, too!
I think that’s because everyone in this thread realized (after the initial “not for me” response) Ableton Move’s capabilities and all are now ordering from the website at the same time
The world is littered with sketch pads, from iPad apps to OP-1f’s. So I’ll pass, afraid I will mostly produce 4 bar loops with it (and I do not need other hardware for that).
But…I would have killed for this when I started out music making in 2010 with a cracked version of Live 8!!
In all honesty I couldn’t tell without dismantling the faceplate and try to look through it. When unlit, they are completely invisible !
Phew, a familiar face! Ok, I am on Elektronauts. Was starting to wonder where I was, feels like I’m spinning in a tornado of inaccuracies and complaints. Off to read the manual.
Yes, but I asked something different. Can I prepare individual Drum Sampler presets, together with up to 2 FX, e.g. 808 kick, 909 snare, LinDrum hi-hat; and then open a Drum Rack track and load those individual presets to pads?
I suspect the answer is not on the Move, but yes in Live (as long as I’ll follow the preset structure guidelines)?
I`m into chopping samples as well. I guess how well it works for you at this point is hard to tell, i´m used to slice samples with an Ensoniq EPS, so i think it´s easy to do on Move You can do the lazy chop and fine edit the startpoints (shift (…) zooms the waveform) and then use hold to define the length of your chops, decay if you need them to ring out.
as to your preferences in Sounds, a lot of the presets easily go into this territory, especially with resampling but of course i welcome custom presets.
Can you make a better picture showing how they compare in size?
can you set loop points on samples? also can you reverse samples in a drum rack?
Does it come with a note license as well? It should.
You mean presets for drum cells ?
Not that I know of. When you do the “save preset” routine on a single pad, “save preset” is not an option.
You can load samples in drum cells.
Hope I got your question right…
five stars!
yes, thanks
I don’t have a good relationship with Ableton anymore, do not have a unit, and will not be posting a video.
You’ll see some messages in here as to why the landscape has made it less fun to post videos about new gear. There is an antagonistic streak in the online space against anyone who has gotten to the point of being included in new gear launches.
I’m trying hard to do more diverse and educational content and not feed the hype machine around new gear, for a lot of reasons.
TLDR: I will not be doing a video on the Move. Probably ever.
omg pads match the carpet, perfect
