Quick question - I want to connect my DB-01 to the korg nts-1 but the db-01 is mono out and the korg stereo in. How do I convert the mono to stereo so that I don’t get into 1 channel? Cheers
Made the Test. The following worked:
6,35 Mono to 6,35 Stereo Adapter -> 6,35 Stereo to 3,5 Stereo Adapter and Finally into the nts (Figured out a Need a 3,5 to 6,35 Stereo cable
Thanks a lot! So the key here is this mono to stereo adapter - do you have a link so I can be sure to order the right thing?
Using this cheap Adapter:
But Maybe someone else has better solutions. I just tested with the stuff i have at home.
Had no idea these existed.
That’ll definitely work.
My buy intention was to get a Stereo out from a small Mono Mixer for my headphones.
DB01 with lanchpad pro: Pattern Switch
They replied this:
Bank- MSB- CC0
Bank LSB - CC32 -1-8 ( 0-7)
Does that mean I won’t be able to change pattern from my DN or AR because they will output e.g. program 17 for Bank B Pattern 1 and not what the DB-01 is expecting?
Anybody managed to get a softer, more melodic sound out of this? Everything I do ends up growly and aggressive (not necessarily a bad thing)
have you tried the triangle wave form? i’ve gotten some subtler, mellower sounds that way.
i was expecting it to be more aggressive … esp with drive full .
i need to use it more… havent had much time recently.
I downloaded the manual to check out features. It’s all images! No searching possible at all. Facepalm.
There are not a lot of Pages
Check out these Vids (Look at the Playlist):
I have watched some of those videos. I was curious, for example, whether there was swing or any sort of microtiming. Apparently not.
Swing can be configured via turning the select/gate knob while in step recording mode
Ah, thanks. “Master shuffle”. I am a bit spoiled by Elektron manuals…
On of my favorite features of the DB 01 is the random pattern generator. You could play hours of techno only by pressing the random button once a while
It looks like it could be fun, but as with many things, it’s a little more expensive than I’d like, and I would worry about tiring of it quickly. Perhaps someday I’ll get to play with one for a while.
Just bought mine as a b-stock to try ist out.
Will keep it
