it’s been discussed and so far declined, this might change, but it won’t presently … we manage this slight overlap with other Elektrons, time will tell, but the query has been raised multiple times so far
Wait, you’re saying you can set velocity and modwheel as LFO destinations on the DT2?!
Unfortunately, no. But they have the same destinations as lfos.
only on midi tracks perhaps?
internal midi routing would be insane feature.
Hold Func and push the LFO destination knob for the selected LFO. That automatically assigns the last parameter you twisted.
Edit: just to be clear, I’m joining the party of suggesting a neat way of creating an LFO assignment.
Yes. Works with midi loopback : you can control audio tracks with an lfo with modwheel dest for instance.
Modulations as audio tracks lfo destinations would be perfect.
And pages with modulations depth, control all for modulations…
You’re 100% right. They really got it right on the Models and should find a way to make it happen on ALL their other boxes. Honestly, for this reason I avoid using the LFO’s unless I really have to on the Digi boxes, especially the DN. WAY too many parameters to scroll through. The Digi boxes also need some implementation of Slide Trigs (maybe an on/off toggle button per track) for smooth automation.
Has anyone actually used a powerbank and birdcord/ripcord solution with their DT2 ?
And which cord if you actually did it ?
I know there’s another thread on what is compatible, and I can find the specs (Recommended power supply: 12 V DC, 2A) … but I’m looking for comforting re-assurances that this has already been done before applying it to my merely days-old DT2.
EDIT: Alright, no rush, looks like I’ll also need to upgrade to a PD powerbank, so I won’t rush into it.
EDIT 2: Manual suggest 12V 2A power supply, but specs the device at 1A
Konami code
This is the most logical solution, but instead of long press should be func+long press, just because that’s how midi learn already works on midi CCs.
Other than that, func+turn dest encoder could jump to first parameter of each category - LFO/SAMP/FILT/AMP (that’s on DT1, I don’t know if they’re the same on DT2).
But on the backside of DT2 it demands 12V 1A
Finally got mine… but its not in great condition. Massive scratches across the screen and surface.
Overbridge refuses to work - despite all my other Elektrons working from the same hub etc.
Did anyone else have OB issues or shall I just send this beat up thing back?
OB is not available yet for DT II, it’s in Beta testing.
Yes.
Thats just saved me tons of time, thanks
But Y this ones a mess and its heading back.
I’ve spent half an hour on the sofa with ripcord (12V 1A) + usb power bank + digitakt II and all worked great.
it’s surely just a scuffed screen protector - peel it off, job done, no drama - this is the case for 99% of such comments
as for the surface, well that’s a new one and a surprise (any pics of this), could it be a return, the box should probably have had a circular elektron branded seal on it iirc ?
It’s probably only on the screen protector. It’s prone to be scratched and it’s supposed to be removed
Mine had scratches but only the protective film.
Anyone get midi over usb to work? Going out from the DT and in to Ableton
