This looks cool.

I don’t need a pedal, but I’m a big fan of ALM branching out this year into software and now non Euro hardware. Keep it coming!

I wish the screen was 3X bigger, but a cool idea.

I agree… Or more knobs. It looks like an H90 type of thing but the UI is way worse.

put one on order, already have 2 mfx in the rack but yeah I dunno I want one to somewhat permanently pair with my cascadia I think… screen has never been an issue for me with it but yeah if you are using it as a stomp box you might need to pull out the binoculars

Dumb question time: how are they only processing certain Syntakt sounds? Hard panning those sounds in ST and putting certain algorithms on the L/R inputs on MFX? Did I just miss something in the video about routing options?

:astonished: Wowza! I like my MFX for sure, but you really like 'em!

lol yeah, I use 2 on my euros master chain currently… probably could get away with 1 but I really enjoy the compressor… so here I am using 2  cascadia is kind of built to interact with expression out and pedals so I kind of like the idea of a pedal dedicated to it. Not that you can’t just patch it with euro stuff, I dunno maybe I am weird lol.

I had the same thought. The USB is plugged so maybe via OB. The Audio cables are misleading. Does the Audio cables coming out of the ST are the same as those going in the pedal?

That hadn’t even occurred to me. The spec sheet on Perfect Circuit doesn’t indicate USB audio, so I’m super curious.

BTW, the MFX pedal is currently show as in stock at Control in Brooklyn, NY:

Yeah, everyone will flock to the time based effects for obvious reasons but the compressor is really good.

Like…. Really good. Also the distortions are also good.

I have the eurorack version, the interface is usable but sometimes annoying. But I do think the quality is very good. All the effects are better than the AH+FX digital effects, but of course you don’t get to use 8 of them in parallel like on the AH+FX.

How many effects can run at the same time?

Just one.

Can I just have the naming generator?

Jks aside, cool pedal, I like that it has Midi AND EXP Input.
The FX are midi clockable and it has a clock multiplier, it eats Stereo and mono sources.
Nice. Assignable A&B Knobs. Nice. Midi CCS can beassigned to control the FX. Nice.

The screen is small, but better a small one than none!

I normally don’t crave small pedals but this one has my attention.

Exactly. You can literally name generate and I’ll have a tracklist of songs for a 6 track EP. Each song will fit the name

Well, I can say for sure the Quadra Reverb is named after the (in)famous rack reverb from the 90s, the Alesis Quadraverb

The Ursa Minor is also named after the Ursa Major reverb, one of the first reverb algorithms. Maybe there’s plenty of names that follow this type of naming.

That’s neat. That means the 50s (spring), 60s (plate), 70s (ursa), 80s (lexicon), and 90s (Quadra) annd modern (Yeti, feedback delay network) are all represented with this pedal. I didn’t know that but yeah the manual clearly states that about the Ursa.

Yeah it really is a good module. Also offers some utilities with a simple Osciliscope, spectral analyzer, and tuner which is handy in the rack. Would be great for working with analog synths as well.
