Oxi One Hardware Sequencer

I tried out the MLimiterX on my recording last night… Maybe this one is a candidate of a small making-of.

Much better - this one is loud and clear :+1: Sounds great.

That sounds nice!

This weeks weekly beats is more OXI one and OMX27

That was terrific!

Sorry to ask if this has already been answered but couldn’t find it. Is there any way to change the settings so that multiple steps can be entered into the multitrack sequencer at the same time? Instead of creating ties with the next note for example

Hey @VibKo, that’s the default behavior. Ties require a few tenths of a second pressing the first pad before the next one (always to the right), so simultaneous presses are taken as individual note inputs.
Tie timing has been adjusted in the past and right now it feels more fluid.

@CarlosUnch Since you are there im gonna ask a question if you dont mind.
I am having some difficulties using the CV MOD and setting value per step.
Even if i deactivate CC smoothness in the config menu i cant get a CV on the step (always kinda late).
If i use velocity -> CV it works fine.
Is there something else i have to set ?

Thanks !

Would you mind to open a bug report on our forums for that?

I think someone has posted about that here:
https://oxiinstruments.com/forum/d/234-cv-mod-weird-behavior

Probably a bug, so it’s not tagged properly. Feel free to create a bug post there with all the details you can.

Yeah that was me , just wanted to make sure it was a bug before reporting it

A little video I made today of the Oxi One sequencing the Pulsar-23. Had the swing set all the way to 75, which sounds surprisingly excellent compared to cranking the swing on most devices to the maximum! The pad/melody is from the Bass channel set to Perc mode, going into the delay for that lovely smear. I manually modulated between two scales one a Mono track. I had trig conditions set on the kick and snare so the one page/16 steps ended up as a four bar sequence - much like on Elektron devices.

There’s so much more I could have done with the Oxi One (applying LFO/CC modulation, euclidian patterns etc) but I wanted to keep it simple so my brain could keep up!

Just got this a week ago or something. I do like it so far but it does feel a little strange to me how difficult I find it to figure out some of the most basic things. Guess I have to read the manual from A to B and not just search for key words. Does anyone know how to change the deafault parameter values? For example I want all my gate values to be the lowest setting to trigger notes on Pulasar 23. So I adjust the global value of the gate for a track form 75 to 5. If I press a step it’s 5 but if I turn this step off again it jumps back up to 75. How can I have the length be 5 all the time?

it looks really ace and fun! I love sequencers and have a bunch in my setups for modular. But I am focused on my no gear 2022 resolution still. Maybe try one out next year at Perfect Circuit when I do a tour of synth shops in so cal.

3rd encoder adjust minimum and maximum gate. This would be different values if you change a step gate manually. To reset all gates to be the same, turn the encoder all the way up or down until both max and min values are the same.

Edit: oh yeah, I see what you mean. That’s definitely not intended. Reporting.

Thanks Carlos. So there’s no way to have it stay at 5 percent currently? I want to play drums by turning steps on and off in short pattern

You can disable setting reset values in the config menu “Reset step parameters when clearing”

The default values are hardcoded and the encoders globally modify each step value.
For future versions we contemplate implementing a global offset, which could also act as a default value.

For this kind of discussions we have several topics in our forum so they are easier for us to track

Solved already in the new release

Thank you  that works. Of course that means the sequencer store all values entered per step which is not really what I’m after but at least it can be worked around

Has anyone figured out all basic copy + paste functions in multitrack mode? Just like how to copy my hi hat on track 8 from from page one (steps1-16) to page 3 (steps33-48). More questions will probably follow. I seem to be able to understand a lot of the more complex operations on this thing but normal copy+paste functions have taken me hours to still not understand;)
